There are specific Data ONTAP commands for managing mirrored aggregates.

You cannot use the -disklist or -mirror-disklist parameters when using the -mirror parameter.
|Convert an aggregate to a mirrored aggregate||storage aggregate mirror|
|Display status about a plex||storage aggregate plex show|
|Add disks to an aggregate||storage aggregate add-disks|
|Show resync status information for each plex||storage aggregate show-resync-status|
|Correct differences between plexes||storage aggregate verify with the -action start and -plex-to-fix parameters|
|Display the status of a plex comparison||storage aggregate verify with the -action status parameter|
|Start comparing plexes of a mirrored aggregate||storage aggregate verify
with the -action start parameter
If any discrepancies are found, they appear in the EMS log with the following signature: raid.mirror.verify.mismatch. If no such entries exist, no discrepancies were found.
|Stop comparing plexes||storage aggregate verify with the -action stop parameter|
|Resume comparing plexes||storage aggregate verify with the -action resume parameter|
|Temporarily suspend comparing plexes||storage aggregate verify with the -action suspend parameter|
|Bring a plex online||storage aggregate plex online|
|Take a plex offline||storage aggregate plex offline|
|Remove one of the plexes||storage aggregate plex delete|
