- Cause
- Unable to create a socket connection from the storage system to the host_name.
- Corrective action
- Ensure that you can ping the host_name from the storage system. Ensure that the NDMP server is up and running by using the
ndmpd status command. If the NDMP server is not running, enable NDMP service. Ensure that the firewall settings for NDMP are configured on both the network and the storage system. Check whether the option
ndmpd.access is set correctly.
