You can assign a dedicated IP address to a network interface, so that the interface does not have a partner IP address.
About this task
This procedure is performed during setup of the storage system.
Steps
- Enter the IP address for the interface you are configuring:

nnn.nn.nn.nnn is the local address for the node you are configuring.
- Enter the netmask for the interface you are configuring, or press Enter if the default value is correct:

- Specify that this interface does not take over a partner IP address:
