Creating IPspaces

You can create an IPspace by using System Manager to configure a single Data ONTAP cluster for client access from more than one administratively separate network domain, even when the clients use the same IP address subnet range. This enables the you to separate client traffic for privacy and security.

About this task

All IPspace names must be unique within a cluster and must not consist of names reserved by system such as local or localhost.

  3. In the Network window, select the IPspaces tab, and then click Create.
