Creating VLAN interfaces

You can create a VLAN for maintaining separate broadcast domains within the same network domain by using System Manager.

  1. Expand the Cluster hierarchy in the left navigation pane.
  2. Select the cluster and click Configuration > Network.
  3. In the Network window, select the Ethernet Ports tab, and click Create VLAN.
  4. In the Create VLAN dialog box, select the node, the physical interface, and the broadcast domain (if required).
The physical interface list includes only Ethernet ports and interface groups. The list does not display interfaces that are in another interface group or an existing VLAN.
  5. Type a VLAN tag, and click Add.
You must add unique VLAN tags.
  6. Click Create.
