You can specify the aggregates for a Storage Virtual Machine (SVM), allow or disallow protocols on the SVM, and modify other attributes of the SVM, such as the language and policies.
Modifying aggregates for SVMs
You must specify the aggregates for anSVM so that SVM administrators can view the list of available aggregates before performing provisioning operations that require an aggregate name—for example, creating a volume. You can add or remove aggregates to specify the aggregates list for the SVM.
Modifying protocols for SVMs
When anSVM is created, all protocols are allowed for configuration on that SVM. You can modify the list of protocols allowed for configuration on the SVM by adding or removing the protocols.
Commands for modifying SVM attributes
You can modify the attributes of anSVM such as the language, maximum number of volumes, Snapshot policy, and quota policy by using the vserver modify command.
