About this task
The nSANity program replaces the diagnostic programs included in previous versions of the Host Utilities. The nSANity program runs on a Windows or Linux system with network connectivity to the component from which you want to collect data.
Steps
- Log in to the NetApp Support Site and search for "nSANity".
- Follow the instructions to download the Windows zip or Linux tgz version of the nSANity program, depending on the workstation or server you want to run it on.
- Change to the directory to which you downloaded the zip or tgz file.
- Extract all of the files and follow the instructions in the README.txt file. Also be sure to review the RELEASE_NOTES.txt file for any warnings and notices.

Run the specific nSANity commands specified by your technical support representative.
